When people join I think they are sent some sort of form that states "Yes I have read the rules and agree to them, etc etc"...so it's always amusing to see the endless parade of newbs who (I assume) just click through that with glazed eyes to get on here and immediately do business.

At least the last time this happened that's what the guy admitted to...

...and everyone reads the license terms for all the software they have installed on their computers as well.

Well why should the admins have to step in when we should be able to police ourselves as peers and then the admins are only called on when a higher authority is needed. Like now he knows what the rule is on the classifieds and the admins didnt need to come in and verbally beat him into submission and it didn't turn into another "Fuck you guys I'm going to the ESP board now" situation.

1) I think it's great that the members actually police the site and point to the rules. At times I think it coud be a little less harsh but in all honesty god knows I've had my bad days as well.

2) Reading the rules is mandatory in anything that has an accept button. Geez how would you know if your not giving away some precious right to not be sued or something if you didn't read them. I guess that's been a bit of an irritation to me in the past because it seems to happen quite a bit. The reason it bothers me is because when someone gets called on it they plead ignorance, tell us it is stupid and why we need to change it yada yada whatever.

You guys are a serious boatload of knowledge on here and are a good asset, it is what makes the JCF what it is. To have someone not only ignore the written rules but break them is disrespectful to all you guys.

In the future policing is fine, just try and point them to the rules and such .. at least that way we don't end up drawing battle lines against each other ..

Do you miss the pecking order? I miss it as well. But we only had a total of 1200 students. My graduating class, 1968, had like 300 kids. I came in at 223.
