:ROTF: I heard an awful, kinda funny, joke on NPR. They had a program that had a family real to real tape letter from the "60's. Dad tells this: These two young lovers are getting it kinda on. So they decide to French kiss. The guys says; "I think I have your gum". She responds; "No, I just have a really bad cold". And this on Pubic Radio. I was shocked.I am a true ass set to this board.

antibiotics only work for bacterial infections.
rarely are sore throats caused by bacterial infections. if ever.
so all you are doing by using all these antibiotics when your body does not need them, is allowing the bacteria in your body to build up strong resistance to the antibiotics, meaning when you really need them, they won't work as well.
I used to make the same mistake. now that I stopped taking antibiotics for every sore throat and sinus infection, which I used to get all the time, I only rarely get colds and sinus infections any more.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

you wouldn't be so eager to take anti-biotics in the UK. £7 per perscription and it does fuck all anyway.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

most illnesses are caused by viruses. antibiotics are the wrong tool for viruses, they don't work on them.
antibiotics are the right tool for bacterial infections, probably 20% of all illnesses or less. they work perfectly well on that diagnosis.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
