...people want to meet up for a trade and never appear? A week or so ago I saw an Ibanez RG7620 on Craiglist and the guy said for sale or trade. So after talking to him I made him an offer and he said he would be over today around 3 to swap guitars. This morning I get an email asking if he can come over early because the he said his studio slot or something was being changed. I said sure, despite now being a bit leery about such a sudden thing. Now I was getting a bit concerned when I never got an email back. Did he ever show? Of course not. I asked him why he didn't show up; did he have a problem or what? $25 says I don't get an email back. What is with people

Then again, maybe the guy had a full day of bad luck.

I listed a Ric 4001 on cragslist, 2, maybe 3 times. Each time I had guys tell me they wanted it. "Consider it sold". None ever came through and after months of phone call, emails and other stupidity, I sold it on ebay the first go-around. I don't think I will ever list anything on craigslist again.

When I used Craig's List I tended to schedule about a half-dozen prospective buyers at 30 minute intervals. Some of 'em got a bit hot when they arrived and learned the item was sold (almost had fisticuffs on the street out front once) but at least I didn't have to screw around for months trying to unload something. And yes, everyone who wasn't #1 in line knew ahead of time precisely how many people were scheduled before them.
