  • Sabbath Never Say Die

Any one like this album? it always seems to be hated by critics, but it's one of my favorite albums of all time of any group.

It is very "produced" with synths, tinkling pianos, and even sax, but I love the songs and some really great guitar playing, kind of structured guitar parts.

    I really like it.

It's one of my favorites as well. I also dig Technical Ecstacy.

I like TE too! All moving parts kills, in a kick-ass "Electric Company" kind of way.

I like that whole era of Sabbath, the only thing I don't dig is Bill ward's pants on Sabotage
Who told him that was a good idea?

I read they didn't like them that much. Iommi felt he spent too much time producing them (hence "technical ecstacy" reference)and in effect produced the life out of them.

I sorta see what he meant. Potential in a lot of it, but sorta neutered in way. Overproduced. I liked more raw Sabbath. I sure played them till they were worn tho...

Wards pants... heheh... That used to trip me out...

in my opinion, never say die is a classic "ozzied" sabbath album.
Sabbath's original lined-up albums include most of the hits...old albums are also beautiful cause you can find both 70's classic rock&roll sound and the classic "hard sabbath" sound which is the beginning of hard&heavy...late albums are also awesome but they just contain hard&heavy,80's sound and sometimes glam.... i can't taste the 70's enjoying hippie sound but only metal...

Never Say Die is pretty good, Technical Ecstasy is far better IMHO. I know that one day I'll listen to "She's Gone" and blow my brains out, brings tears to my eyes every time.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

              I nearly broke her back

TE and NSD are definitely among my favorite albums of all time.

The only ones I dont like on those 2 are It's Alright from T.E. and Air Dance from N.S.D., though I do like the intro with the harmonized guitars.
