I was doing the numbers wrong. Numbers above numbers are in multiples of 20, so one dot = 20, 2=40, etc. While the first block is 20 (20 over 0), the next one is 40 (20+20 over 0). That messed me up.

So now I'm squarely in the Yucatan at +20.66931666666666666666666666666667,-88.57666666666666666666666666666667
and now I just have to pick the right name

I finally made it to the blocks back in 2007 but never got anywhere.

I came back to it late last year and have still been stuck on the blocks. Lots of hints, and possibilities, but no solid decoding.

We did these as a platoon in our spare time in Afghanistan. We've never made it past the blocks one.

Yeah, but there's never been anything actually decoded to prove that's the answer. Most of the reasoning for that answer is that it was the answer you had to give to get to a similar blocks puzzle in the same guy's last puzzle thing he did. That one was never solved either.
