I have been careful all my life. I grew up on the '60's and thought all that was BS. In the '70's, I tried to save kids. I ran a group co-fucking literally-ed group foster home. I found my love forever in 1975. She had a 5 year old son. We were married in 1978. I found out in 1977 she had MS. I took that news and married her anyhow. Because, once I commit that's it. She died 11 years later. Now, do you see why I am the way I am. And, I know my love is the same way. Her husband died of cancer right in the beginning of a lifetime relationship. It's hard to explain.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Hard to explain, but I understand a lot of it bro. I know a lot of the feelings you have, many of us do.

Just be careful, analyze the situation, think of all the possible bad things and be very prepared.

Well the meth addiction talk made me think about a machine that was mentioned in this kick-ass fiction novel I read a long time ago. Maybe I'll start a thread about it.

You know the lyrics: "Any love is good love, so I took what I could get." I´d be like that. If that lady has a serious problem with her daughter, it´s possible that you´ll be having this problem in your life too soon. Well, that´s life. But I wouldn´t believe in the concept of saving someone "in a relationship." It´s cool to help someone out but it´s thin ice to base a relationship upon it.

I just re-read what I wrote and it seem awfully trivial. So I´d say, get that pizza and see what happens. Don´t think about it, let it flow - you´re a child of the 60s, man. You´ll notice immediately when someone takes advantage of you and you´re free to let consequences follow.

I have never been crapped on (at least not majorly) but going into every relationship I have ever been in I feared it happening. You're fearing it now would be no different if the circumstances were not as they are now. Even if she were perfect in every way you would probably still have the fear that you do. That's cool it just means you are on your toes. If you decide to do anything I would recommend wading as apposed to jumping. That way if you have to make a quick retreat it will not take as long to get out.

I hear from my rehab doctor dad that the first week is incredibly horrible, but after that the body is no longer addicted. After that, just stay away from your druggie friends and you'll have no problems staying clean.
I guess what I meant to say was, that after the first week there is no longer a physical addiction. It's all in your head after that, so avoiding your old druggie friends, and avoiding falling back into the same old habits is key to avoiding a relapse. It's why an alcoholic should never have another drink again. A crack addict should never be around other crack addicts again.

I just talked to the owner again and the trailer is a lock. But it will take a week or two. I think the Babe is or is about to be homeless. Damn. I have to get off my big fat ass and track her down. It's about having the ability to help one person from going where I know she could head. And that place is no place for such a nice person.
