I saw this on msn an hour or two ago. Ridiculous! What got me was her lawyer saying it's about "getting her good name back" or some junk. I didn't even know her name (or any of their names) before this. What a crock!

You know, if the US would have a "loser pays" court system, like they have in some other countries, we wouldn't have all these frivilous lawsuits! If you knew you'd have to pay your lawyer AND the legal fees of the people you're suing (if you lost), you'd think twice about it.

Unfortunately, companies are so scared of bad publicity (especially if it involves anything remotely racial), that they usually settle out of court.

And why just her? Why isn't the "team" suing him? Last I recall, he never mentioned anyone on the team by name.
Why, because they know they will lose in court.
Slander and defamation requires intent. I highly doubt that Don "intended" anything when he said what he said other than to be what he was being paid to be.

Its all about the fuggin lawyers most likely, the only thing that matters in todays legal system, find the person with some assets and go after em...
in another case,
that fuggin piece o shit judge in DC who tried to sue the drycleaner for millions over a pair of pants is at it again suing those decent hardworking people again over the same pair of pants, even when they win, the drycleaner is out all his legal fees with no avenue to get it from the plaintiff, the legal system in this country is a joke ...
