  • They needed a study to figure this out?

I mean come on who doesn't know this. Isn't it basic knowledge that if you are out of shape, middle age, smoke and have heart disease. Maybe just maybe rigorous activity may not be good for you.

Speaking of hearts. I heard this on NPR. Some guy wanted to figure out why the lifespan of mammals is varied. He came up with an interesting conclusion. He somehow determined that a heart, any heart, has about 1.5 billion beats and then it quits and then you die. I knew I was right when I thought all thses people that do cardio and get their beats up to 145 are just killing themselves faster.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:

I don't buy that Fett. I have no history of high blood pressure or heart problems in my family yet cardio is a MUST for me. If I do no cardio then I'm at risk for stroke and heart disease. Sure I could be alazy fat fucker and take medication for to lower BP and bad chloresterol but why when I can run 3-4 miles 4 times a week? I tried the meds and the one for BP made me piss every 15 minutes...I thin I'd rather be dead than piss that much which is what I told my doctor. When I exercise regularly my BP is dead nuts i I'm laxy it gets outt of control. I htink its from being an jock all my life...always playing sports and doing physical stuff, whgen I stop my body is like WTF

I read the deer hunting thing earlier today as well..people are just plane stupid and fucking lazy...the American way..get fat...sit on you ass and eat unhealthy foods is the American way...its pathetic.

Hey Fett, doing cardio reduces your "resting" heart rate, so the NPR dude's theory might be entirely consistent with the claim that cardio exercise extends life span.

I just got a great idea for a treadmill: It's equipped with a rifle and one of those simulation screens with deer - like those "fire or don't fire" police simulators!

All of you abviously aren't in the know.

This is argueably the biggest pay-off in becoming a pre-doctorate assistant or a scientist: you can apply for pretty much any figure in grant money, spend a third of it on some POS study no one is even remotely interested in and just use the rest to cover your 'expenses' and you write off the rest.

I'm gonna do some research on: "most effective methods of clitoral stimulation to enduce above-average hormonal rushes".

I dare you! Try and get it into Nature or one of the other big journals. I'd read it, well just as long as it had lots of pics.
