gotta give the dude something for have the balls to give up a lucrative career that was boring him to tears to follow his muse, but really, his work looks like it was done by a high school kid

The number one reason is that you like the painting. I am sure if you hold onto them until I am dead, people will be making prints of them and sell them in those rip-off galleries.
