  • Keyboard for recording

Well, this fall I'll finally be able to record some stuff, and I need to get a decent keyboard to do some intros, and accent my guitar playing. I would like to stay inexpensive as possible, while still getting something that has good sound and features. Help?

    I have an Ensoniq SD-1

I love this keyboard, bought it new.

    It's a "music production synthesizer"
Has good drum kits on it, excellent pianos, and the sound
    editing is quite intuitive.
Fairly easy learning curve, also a digital multitracker.
You can connect analog If you have the proper midi stuff.
They can be found around $500, well worth it.
    Here's one:

      Burn... define "inexpensive".

      I prefer a Korg 01W myself.
You can pickup a 61 key workstation for under a grand.
They've been out of production for a while, but I still see them pop up on eBay once and a while.
16 track sequencer with a shit load of quality tones and kickin' drum kits.

Get the cheapest 61 key controller you can find and use software for sounds.
