Playing this on PC now. Picked it up Friday. Unbelievable game. If any of you are as nerdy as I am and looking for something new, this thing's a lock for Game of the Year.

Very spooky, very original. Takes the Half-Life storytelling shooter ball and runs like hell with it.

I still think FEAR is better.. but this is much better than HL2.

My son downloaded the Demo for the 360 a few days ago. I was way impressed with the game. It has a real cool ORIGINAL vibe/story to it. Graphics are bad ass and it's a little creepy at times.

My understanding is that it comes from a smaller game developer, and if that's true, they did an awesome job.

Completed it yesterday, really excellent game...I'll refrain from spoilers, but the branching storyline will allow for at least one more interesting play through.

I have System Shock 1 & 2, and this game is the kinda spiritual predecessor to them. Really, its good, but not System Shock 2 good. SS2 may be one of the best shooters of all time, and IMHO this doesn't come close.

I absolutely love this game the story line is great and though I havent beaten it yet since I've been busy with school and work lately I am addicted, I find myself wondering throughout the course of the day all about Rapture and what it was like before. Awesome game very reccomended I think if someone were to write a book based on this storyline it would be a pretty damned good read.

                  Bioshock Xbox 360

I haven't been online in a while and this game is making getting anything done around the house nearly impossible.

By far one of the most original games I've playes. Calling it a shooter really isn't correct. It is more like a 1st person survival horror game without the crappy camera angles and clunky combat mechanics.

The art deco graphics and 30's/40's music is interesting.

If you are a fan of Altas Shrugged or The Fountainhead (I admit that I'm not, but I have read both works), the subtle allusions to those texts are interesting.

Some folks have reported issues with lagging, but it has run smoothly for me (I do clear the Xbox 360 cache pretty regularly).

If you are a 360 owner, at least rent this game.

What are those two books? I've never heard of them before but in the other bioshock thread I said that I would love a book based on it, is that what those two books are?

Those books are by Ayn Rand and the game designers seemed to have based much in the game (Ryan's political and economic philosophies particulary) on her books.

There is a pretty good background on her at

I didn't see the other thread. Guess its time to start popping in the contacts when I'm at the computer.
