Police / ambulance sirens

Got awakened up again this morning by a bunch of sirens wailing like 2 streets away. Went back to sleep, and when i woke up again, i was hearing another one in the distance. I can still hear another one now.

I live in a peaceful suburb of the northern Montréal area (at least it used to be peaceful) and over the past 2 or 3 years i noticed they've increased a -lot- either became louder, or more frequent, or both.... but since a few months it's become ridiculous. Sometimes it's almost constant. I can only imagine what it's like in more urban/downtown areas, especially in the U.S.

Anyone else notice this in other areas?

I hear them all the time. I live in a hollow with trees everywhere. You can hear small stuff a mile away. Here's a wierd story. I have a tendency to be awake at 2 or 3AM. So I hear some heavy truck noise and saw what I thought were flashing lights around 3AM. So I got up and stuck my head outside. There were fire engines all over the place. When the sun came up I went just a little up the street and around the corner. A fucking trailer in my park had a fire. I'm not sure why but they didn't use their sirens getting here. Damn nice of them.

It's the baby boomers needing medical attention. Expect it to pick up even more and more until they all die. Just a thought. Or maybe your neighborhood or adjouning neighborhood housing is old enough it becomes prime rentals and riff raff are moving in?

I live in the middle of L.A. down the street from both the police station and the fire department. I hear sirens about every 4-6 hours.
