  • $80 Oil

and a weakening economy. Something just has to give. The whole commodity market is run by a bunch of crackheads. It's all bullshit and it is costing the average person bigtime.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Fucking kill OPEC that's what will solve this problem. I say produce to the max and see where the price sits. It's fucking price fixing and it's fucking the working man more than anything.

The only reason we let them get away with this shit is because our Gov't Officials profit from it.

I'm beginning to understand how our fore fathers felt about England's tea taxation without representation!

You know this is an outstanding point. And we know what they did about it. It happened once, it very well could happen again.

          History will repeat itself.

No, a f150. I am sick of us being hooked on oil. We need the cure. $100 oil may do that

Drill in Alaska and off the gulf and Atlantic shore get more of our own crude out and maybe the price will come down.
                  Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The scary thing is that the cure is not going to be hydrogen or biodiesel or solar or anything pretty like people seem to think. The cure is going to be short-term, and it's going to be tar sands and coal liquefaction. Those environmental nightmares are 10 times worse than Saudi oil ever was.

After reading about the discovery that you can burn salt with radio waves, Im putting my money on that replacing oil in about 30 years. Seriously.

It is my understanding that supply isn't the biggest reason for higher gas prices. It's the lack of refining capacity.

I saw that story on Digg. Apparently it is yet another "free energy" BS story that makes it's rounds on the internet again and again. Sorry, we're still screwed.

Not much we can do about it. This is just the beginning, wait till around middle of next year. In the 1970's, most optimistic scenarios predicted the oil peak "between 2010 and 2020", now it seems like we came a little short of that.
