        uuhhhh . . . .I started in 1959
My favorite modern guitar song is CHILD IN TIME - DEEP PURPLE.

Saw D.P. in 1972 and recently July 2007. No Blackmore this time though. Then I saw SLAYER in AUG. 2007.
You might have beaten Fett and I at age!

        Help - Beatles
        Yakity Sax - Chet Atkins
        Hard Days Night - Beatles

Oh, and all those Elvis songs on the radio. I started in 1965.

Then later, CSNY stuff and Smoke On the Water, DP!

            KISS - Detroit Rock City

From there it was all down hill.

              Hey Joe - Hendrix
              Deuce - KISS

These tunes made me want to pick up the guitar.

Far Beyod the Sun by Yngwie made me realize I had to practice a lot more :P

Mostly 80's Judas Priest, early Metallica, Maiden, etc....

The first song i learned was "for whom the bell tolls"... my cousin taught it to me when i was 12. Then Master of puppets came out and someone at school made me photocopies of tabs ...i was happy that day

"You might have beaten Fett and I at age!" - BENGAL65

By a couple years, both of you.

I saw DP in July 2007 and I knew every riff but I saw SLAYER a week later with Manson and I was . . . . astonished!?!

there wasn't a song. it was a concert, and it wasn't the bands.

it was all the pussy running around that wanted the players that got me to pick up the guitar.

                                i'm so ashamed
...that taste like tart, lemon yogart
