Well, I just snagged 6 8.8oz cans of some Italian brand of Arabica ground coffee on the cheap. It tastes great. But, it is ground so fine that my trusty Corning Ware percolator won't work. The grounds end up on the bottom of the pot. That's OK. I have my eye on a drip maker that should cost me about $2.75. God. I love thiftstores.:ROTF:

What kind of a coffee snob are you, Fett? The finely ground stuff is for espresso not drip makers.
Oh yeah, I just drink it black, and whatever crap I can get my hands on. We have one of those Keurig things at work which is pretty cool. At home, I just grind whatever beans I feel like getting and using my drip coffee maker. Medium grind of course
"It's hard to be enigmatic if you have to go around explaining yourself all the time"
This is my vice. I make it at home, grind my own beans, and time permitting will use my French press. The Turks say "Coffee should be black as hell; strong as death, and sweet as love" but I use 1/2 n 1/2 and brew it strong. I am not too picky on brand but it has to be whole bean arabica. Sumatra is my fave and when I can get to Central Market that is what I buy. I refuse to drink the break room swill at work, but I can choke down some acrid Starbucks when I have to. My wife worked at a coffee shop before my daughter was born. I worked there part time and this is when I really got hooked.
Dude it's black as night, hot as hell and sweet as love

BTW. I could have bought cans of espresso as well. But, I didn't. All this red blooded Viking god-like American knows is to buy cheap coffee. Whole beans, ground or whatever. I will adapt. I am not particular and I don't need a ghey coffee maker. I just need a pot of whatever coffee a day.:ROTF:
Mine is some happenin' stuff, it's a mouthful of chicklets i'll tell you that much, about 52 packs of sugar, tons of cream, and when you're done there's a mountain of brown sugar that rolls oh so nicely down.
I have old Revere Ware "On the Stove" coffee makers. I'll give that a shot. And anyone that messes up a good cup of black coffee is just a very bad person.:ROTF:
