Those shoes must be comfortable. My feet hurt whatever shoes I wear. Nice DK2M and good pics too.

The multi-fx pedal, is that a Boss GT8?
Nevermind...I dont think it is. I have been reading so much about it that my eyes seem to be seeing the gt8 everywhere.Last edited by emperor_black; 10-02-2007, 11:15 AM.Sam

GT-Pro user here, which is basically the rackmount version of the GT-8, with a GX-700 in the loop (an earlier Boss modeler/multifx with -killer- speaker sim capabilities) and the output going through a Behringer Modulizer Pro, which i use to beef up the cab/speaker sim - gets rid of the fake sounding "fizz" of preamp modelers and really sends the tone through the roof. I can get a BADASS monster 8x12 sound from pretty much anything that has speakers attached to it
The GT-8 / GT-pro by itself sounds kind of cheapo through a fullrange solid state amp, but this rig kicks ass!!!!

I will turn 34 in December, so thanksLast edited by delt; 10-02-2007, 04:25 PM."It wasn't the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn't flat. [ ... ]

emperor-
I think that only about half of the presets on the GFX-5 are usable. The "drive" modules sound better than the distortion on my practice amp at home (15w Marshall MG), but not as good as the 100w heads that I use at rehearsal studios or when I play out.
I only use one bank with the following three sounds:
1) compression (for driven rhythm playing)
2) compression + short delay (for clean rhythm playing)
3) compression + even shorter delay + wah (for solos)
The reason why I have the compression module activated in all three sounds is because I control the level of gain with the volume knob on the guitar, and I think that having the compression ON between the preamp and the power amp in the head suppresses drastic differences in volume levels when going from clean to distortion and vice versa.
I like the wah pedal, because you can dial in the frequency, to get as much or as little "wacka chicka wacka chicka" as you want. I myself dig the 70's porn level of wah
For me, it was a good buy at $125, because I don't use that many effects, and if I bought a compression pedal, a delay pedal, and a wah pedal separately, it would have cost me more.

Delt, are you by any chance a member of the Gt-8 forum? I saw a thread opened by someone who was talking about his Gt-pro plugged into the Behringer modulizer pro and how amazing it sounds. Just wondering.
The thread in question was started in the gt-pro section by someone who just happened to try out the gt -> behringer thing and found that it kicked ass, i read it and listened to the sound clips & found them pretty impressive. Then i was able to get a mod pro for like $80 on ebay, tried it out myself and the sound coming out of that rig just blew my f'n pants off!!
Note that the Behringer sucks donkey ass for anything else than the speaker sim - which is of no consequence anyway, since you can only use one fx at a time on that thing :/"It wasn't the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn't flat. [ ... ]
