Too many to mention. I lived within walking distance of the War Memorial in Rochester, New York in 82-83. And tickets were 10.50 each. Went everytime someone decent showed up, and Rochester was popular with the rock tours at that time. Most all of them were John Scher productions. A few : Nugent,Black Sabbath, Riot, Rainbow, Judas Priest, ZZ Top, Quiet Riot,Joe Walsh,Billy Squire, Loverboy,Def Leppard, Krokus, Gary Moore,Asia,Aerosmith, Rose Tattoo, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Stones, Who, Bo Diddley, Taj Mahal, John Mooney, Thorogood, Clash, Journey, Clapton,
BB King, Little Feat, many others. A lot of bands in their prime at that time in their careers for old school rock and metal. Friends would come over to my little apartment, we would get just right enough, make our way down to the place early, do the show, then go to a little known bar called Pillars afterwards. It was close enough to the Holiday Inn where the bands and or tour people stayed, so we partied with some very interesting people after some of the shows. Usually made it home by 2 or 3 if I had to go to work at 8. It all ended when my GF "kidnapped" me and took me to Phoenix.

So Aerosmith was so bad you went to the "other side" after that? Or was it a strange marital compromise?

Nah, I've always liked Prince, and Chaka was the opening act when I went to see him at the MCI center in DC back in '97 (?)

I listed the bands that opened for the headliners as separate acts, so at the concerts that I went to, Yngwie opened for AC/DC, Cinderella opened for Bon Jovi, etc... That is, I didn't see these bands at separate dates/venues.

I've been to at least 100 shows...so times an average of three bands...I'm guessing at least 200 different bands.

I saw the God's of Grind tour back in the early 90's in UK:

                              Carcass,
                              Napalm Death,
Morbid Angel, (I know they are not grind, but they were label mates)
                              Bolt Thrower,
                              Entombed,
                              Cathedral

I think there were others too but I forget who they were.

I was pretty young when I saw this and it made a huge impression on my musical development, particularly Carcass.
