Night Ranger - actually made me want a second lead guitarist in my band!
Tesla and Shotgun Messiah - also great.
Badlands - I don't think people knew how to handle the bluesy rock from an ex Ozzy guitarist. People are stupid like that.
What has 9 arms and 10 legs? Def Leppard

honestly, I think we should go on THAT note on this issue...I was making fun of people here!!!

Under-rated means rarely or no "acknowledged" talent, if you ask me. To the level that most don't know who the fuck they are. This should be a chance for mention , then investigation..

LOL The Beatles and Elvis! :ROTF:

I will indeed be picking up the Overkill CD tomorrow. They played at a club called Starland Ballroom this past Saturday (only a couple miles from my house) and I missed them!

                        Victory
                        Black 'n Blue

                        Badlands
                        Contraband
                        Fastway

                        Have to second:
                        Tesla
                        Metal Church

Agony Column - though they were local and were really earl 90s. (BTW our own Annah plays with what's left of Agony Column - or really a newer band that I haven't seen in person yet because I am now a hermit. Her band is Ignitor)
I loved "God, Guns and Guts".

They still have an active myspace page.
Agony Column's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.

I am taking this time to quote Batlord's Myspace page, as it is kick ass!

                        About me:
I'm old, but I'm probably cooler than you. I love classic metal and weep openly when I listen to Merciful Fate. I don't find it a problem that I'm going bald and have long hair, just look at the Scorps. A precedent is set. They get it on with the ladies, why cant I. I always wanted to cover Kiss's "Going Blind" and change it to "Going Bald".

I've been playing guitar for 27 years, so I'm probably a better guitar player than you. I'm tall and thank god I'm skinny again. I tried fat for a while and that didn't work out so good. I am a serious beer enthusiast, I have 2 Kegerator at my home, Phil and Ken. Ken (short for Kenmore) usually has Lone Star. Phil (short for Philco) has more exotic tastes. Sierra Nevada, Live Oak, Real Ale, that sort. As I type this Phil has DogFishHead 60 Minute IPA, which is probably the only keg of that in Austin.

I moved to Austin to be a punk rocker in the summer of '82. The first show I ever played was opening for Minor Threat at a club called the Skyline Lodge (?). That is probably cooler than your first show, but who's keeping score anyway. Oh, I guess I am, but don't get too down on yourself cause I'm pretty sure we sucked. Later I wasted my youth playing in Agony Column. We released 3 albums and toured the states a bit back in the 80's and 90's. Currently I am in IGNITOR. IGNITOR is pure, classic metal. I really like it because it is exactly the music I most love and it gives me an excuse to wear black leather chaps. It's hard to work chaps into your wardrobe without a real good reason. I also perform as KK in the Judas Priest Tribute band Sad Wings."
When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley

T-Ride - If you haven't heard this band, you need to stand up, shut off your computer walk out and buy a copy of their self-titled album at your local used CD store!!! Geoff (Spelled with a J for the album) Tyson is a Satriani-schooled mega-shredder. It's an absolute injustice that Kirk Hammet gets mentioned as a Satriani student more than Geoff does. Back to the album - guitars will rip your face off and there are no solos! The vocals may need a little getting used to, but the overall production of this album will make you forget about the vocals and the lack of solos.

I Mother Earth - Jagori Tanna is awesome!!! I'm sure it's been done before, but the first time I've heard/saw someone play a guitar slap-style was Jag. When I first saw this band they opened for Dream Theater, I didn't even know who they were. The next day I had to get the the album. (Dig was all they had out at that time)
