  • Guitar to PC software

    Hello!

I know there must be someone around that knows the answer to my question. Mainly I live in the dorms for the week and I want to take my guitar with me. Now I don't want to drag the whole rig (stompboxes, the combo, bags, cables) and actually I am very limited with space. I just want something simple - plug the guitar to computer into line-in, run the 'software amp' and play. I remember a guy my friend knows got that a few years ago. I just want something to crank for half an hour a day. So my fingers don't get lazy.

    Thanks to everyone!

I use a Line 6 Guitar Port 2.0.. very easy to use and I can get pretty good tones out of it.

Yup i was gonna suggest the Guitar Port. I got one and like it alot. You could also get the new Pocket Pod. it has a USB coneection and comes with the needed software to get ya hooked up. Plus your not tieddown to the computer. You can take it with ya and plug it into an amp or use headphones.

^ well if it has a headphones jack, the "needed software" (which i assume is windows only) isn't exactly "needed" right?
