This series will not make it back to Boston. the Rockies are saying they played better and that they are relaxed, well it's either 3-0, or 2-1, and this is a must win win over Diced K. He has a little bit of dead arm in my opinon still, he pitched hard er and longer than ever before inhis career, and as great as Okajima looked last night, his velocity wasn't anything like it was in early to mid Aug. He got away with a couple of meatballs that should have been placed somewhere but in the catchers glove. Good change up and all. I'm telling ya, it's a mismatch of epic proportions and the Sox will be popping champagne Sunday night, monday the latest.
Big Pop-Up is going to hit one in that Colorado air all the way through my living room window possibly. The Sox could win with Lowell, Varitek, a pitcher or two,Jukealiss,julio Loogeeo, and an outfielder. The Rockies have cooled off horribly, it always happens with a long break. What's the weather like right now in Denver? I'm thinking a launching pad type game with over 20 runs scored between the 2 teams tomorrow, but who scores more? I see a potential Red Sox sweep lurking.
If they keep playing like they are a sweep is very possible indeed.
The 8 days off may have left the Rockies too cold to compete.
We'll see, these next two games (Sat and Sun) are key for both teams.
Rockies need to win both to stay in the series and to get hot again.
Red Sox need to win both in hopes not only to win BUT not let the Rockies get hot again. If Rockies get hot again, its over the Rockies will win it.
Either way, imo both teams are tough and have talented athletes.
However, I'm favoring the Red Sox again this time.Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...
