Rockies in the world series! No one could have guessed this at the beginning of the year!

Based on the payroll difference, I think the Rockies gave them a pretty good run. Three of the games were very exciting. Can't ask for more than that.

I actually drove Jon Miller, and Joe Morgan (ESPN radio announcers) to the game and picked them up. I was outside side of the staduim , and went to a few Bars on Blake street. Congrats Red Sox, I am glad that a Colorado team made it that far in my lifetime. I will probably be 90 before they go again !!

yes, the scores didn't quite tell the actual game.

I'd say it was a shellacking , and no surprise. Congratulations to the best team in baseball, it's the Red Sox for the 2nd time in 4 years, the only drawback is that the Sox fans have not been able to see it on their homefield. the Sox have won, the Patriots have been the best team in football the last 7-8 years, the Celtics look to be on the rise, and the bruins have gotten off to a decent start, have the sports Gods met in secrecy and decided to let Boston reign in all 4 sports? Hell, B.C. is undefeated too aren't they?-lol I give the Sox a lot of credit for coming back against the Indians. Sabbathia and carmona did not impress me one bit in that series, and outside of Carmona's great game against the Yankees in game 2 of round 1, I was unimpressed by their pitching there as well. I think the Yankees were more to blame by not being able to get timely hitting, and everyone was going for the long ball, and that doesn't work in the playoffs. 2 for the Sox, time to start your stoves because it's going to be an interesting off season. arod is no longer a yankee, Posada and Rivera remain unsigned, Girardi offered the managers job after a 10 hour interview, who do the sox have to re-sign now that this season is in the books? I would hope they have the vision to not let Lowell go , then again, Arod would hit 85 home runs in that park, by all star break-lol
Where does the parade storm through in Boston, and who here is going?

We don't want AROD ... he kills teams!! He thinks he's bigger than the game. He has no respect for the institution that he plays for

I agree, he's certainly not worth the money he's probably going to get. I heard he's asking for $500 mil? WTF!

anyone who gives him 500 million should be executed. His agent , Scott Boras is actually the deal maker, not Arod, and Boras takes no prisoners, and he is the one who closed that outrageous 250 million dollar 10 year deal with Texas years back, which was absolutely off the charts, but no money left to build around him. So he goes to the Yankees, with the Yankees paying 15 mill. and texas picking up about 10 mill of that ridiculous contract. Now Arod opts out, and the Yankees have made it clear if he opts out they will not persue him. If you want to pay 300 mill for 10 years of reg. season mvp #'s, but no post season production, be my guest. I didn't want to lose the guy, but nobody is worth that money. Plus it will free up some cash to buy some gritty pitching that is hopefully available, although I do like the yankees future as far as pitching goes. Hughes, Kennedy, Chamberlain,Wang, all are very young, homegrown, and are the future of the team barring any health issues. pettitte has another 2-3 years in that arm of his as well. middle relief, possibly a number 2 and or 3 caliber starter, and we're back in business.Andruw Jones is available, i'd love to see him and Melky prowling death valley in Yankee stadium next year. gonna be an interesting offseason to say the least. The last 3 weeks of the reg. season was better than the playoffs, what a gip!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foot what? Hock, Hock a , Hockey, our last chance at smiling for a home team, Rangers need to start scoring, Henrik is already playing incredibly. They're warming up now, anytime Jagr loses teeth and is the player of the game makes me think that they're done fukkin' around. The goal Lundquist gave up was on a penalty shot in the 3-1 win tonite.
