Yeah, the dollar's still strong in Mexico, still almost 11 pesos to the dollar.

Back in the mid-1980s, I travelled to Mexico and the dollar equaled 2250 pesos. We had to carry a stinking calculator everywhere we went.

I bet this devaluing of the US dollar is to speed up the american union Bush JR wants so desperately.

As far as the war on terrorism goes, I personally think we can do a better job fighting terrorism on US soil by closing the borders tighter than a nuns booty and refusing anyone entrance especially those of Islamic faith and arab ethnicity.

I agree with you to a point. I dislike politics and politicians and the way this thread is going it may get the nooze like Saddam.

However, who is and who are we as a nation, to say or determine that every country in this planet of ours needs to live in a democracy?
Have you thought that some countries/cultures are not meant to operate in such a way?
That we consider religion and government as separate entities, when some cultures operate on a hand-to-hand relationship between government and religion (and are for the most part) happy that way?

I agree with you. I don't think Iraq could ever work with a democracy. The ethnic groups have very obvious differences, and they truly hate each other. The only way to keep the chaos in a managable size is to be hard, sometimes.

The whole concept of "Money" has gone right down the tubes. And, it's all because of all the POS Banks do to make up new investment vehicles. Yeah, the 30 Something dinks that are playing games to generate income for the "Firm". Add that to the rest of the world, China. India, becoming Big Kids with jillions of bucks that only exist on paper 10 times removed, and you have the answer why the Dollar is tanking. It's all faith, Baby.
