  • 10 Most Terrifyingly Inspirational 80's Songs

Great music can inspire us to do anything: love one another, protest an unjust war, make sweet, sweet love to a large black man in the 1970s. But in the '80s there were a series of songs that inspired us to kick ass in every way possible. None inspired more as

Definately got some laughs out of me.

I've heard every one of them, and I wouldn't call any of them "inspirational".
There's a couple of good ones in there, but most of them were more cheesy than inspirational.

When I wrestled in highschool our coach made a tape that we warmed up to that had Eye of the Tiger, Danger Zone, and some other cheesy stuff on it. We ran laps and did agility drills while it played. Totally demotivational. I would wear a walkman during that time and listened to Ride the Lightning. That's what made me want to rip peoples heads off.

I read the whole thing, except the dumbass comments. It was good. You'd have to have been there to get it. It doesn't really matter what songs were picked, the writer got the cheese aspect down right.

I'm starting to forget a lot of things lately...must have something to do with the average age of the JCF crowd.

Are we going to be doing this when we're 80? Picture that!

I like the songs on that list more now than I did then. Back then if it wasn't Metallica, Death Angel, Slayer, or Megadeth, then it was pussy poseur rock.

Now that I'm old, I realize how damn catchy that Final Countdown keyboard riff really was.

And yes, I'm even man enough now to admit that Journey totally kicks ass.

I mean honestly I can't lie. I claim the metal status when it comes to selecting a genre and I do love all types of music. But Journey has to be my favorite band alongside of Testament.

I have alot of favorites but between those 2 I can hear them anytime and just love it.

I was going to write that this is a ghey thread about an even gheyer article (check out all the pics, especially #2 & #5 if you need evidence), but then I read it, and damn if it isn't HILARIOUS! This Robert Brockway is a comedy genius! "boob menacing"

This article brought a lot of memories in addition to laughs!

I have to admit, John Norum is awesome, and Europe did write some good stuff. X and CYG, that is hilarious, after I read it I finally got it. There I go pre judging again.
