The less Microsoft I can run the better, they suck at everything they do.

I have used Firefox for years and have never been happier.

Actually, they make a pretty sweet keyboard. But yeah, their software sucks.

I always find these threads so interesting you guys talk of all these hassles and headaches and I have no idea what it is like. It's like I'm all alone in a sea of tranquility.

I have Firefox on my Mac, but I tend to prefer Safari.

I have 1 MS product and that's an xbox 360, for which I have experienced a 75% failure rate, as I'm on my 4th xbox. That's enough to keep me away from their PC stuff.

I love FireFox. Always blocks pop ups. No Script and Adblock work really well. Firefox runs smoother and uses less resources on my PC then IE. However, once you load it up with plugins, it does get a bit "thirsty" for resources.

I look at the JCF, Gmail, and a couple other random sites. They all run the same on IE as they do on anything else so I just use that. I haven't had any problems, but when I had an iBook Safari was slow and other browsers all had issues working with certificates. That combined with the fact that the iBook got so hot it couldn't actually be used as a laptop made me get rid of it.

I have used firefox for the past two years. Never looked back at IE and probably never will. However, lately when I have more than 3 tabs open at one time, FF seems to eat up a LOT of RAM and my computer starts crawling. Although I attribute a majority of the "RAM munching" to the MS Office Communicator too.

                +1!

Plus, it's really not worth the effort to run IE7.whatever on a linux distro

Although, I am using lynx more and more each day it seems... it's just... more convenient.

I really like Opera that appears to be one of the better browsers smokes Firefox.
I use IE 90% of the time and I dont have a problem with spyware. You can avoid 99% of all unwanted spyware on IE by always closing pop ups from the blue bar on the bottom of the screen by right clicking or using taskmanager never ever evr click the red x box on a pop up add as it will install spyware 60% of the time.

I have two computers at home I run nothing but IE on and never have gotten any spyware by using the trick above even after visiting sites that are notorious for spyware (IE warez, porn type sites) embarrasing but I have to mention it to show how effective my technique is.

I think Microsoft as made major steps forwards in trying to copy Firefox. i feel the only pages that dont work so well in Firefox are MS based pages. Everything else seems to work just fine with all the right plugins. Firefox was a life saver on my older Linux boxes. I dont like IE on my Windows boxes either. No comparison.

I loved Firefox. I mean, it wasn't Clint Eastwoods best movie but in an era of Supertech flying machine movies like Blue Thunder, I thought Firefox held up pretty well...

Wait... What are you talking about???
