Thanks all.Both cats watched the whole thing I think they knew what was going on because when I went to bed they both laid right on the floor where the dog slept.

Sorry to hear of it man, and I personally know what it is like to put down a pet. It was painful, I know, but you did the right thing. But it sucks royally.

I'm sorry for your loss..

I've been throuh that as well as some others here. Words can't comfort the feeling you have right now. I know from experience that I felt awful for having to do what I did but the truth is, it was the right thing to do. It takes some time but it gets easier to deal with.
