  • Torres. Tommy creamed his jeans

:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF: I'm just guessing here.:ROTF: http://sports.aol.com/mlb/story/_a/d...01175809990001 I meant "Torre" . But, this is news.

this is old news, and i think it was time for a change. He was the highest paid manager in baseball for years, and he had a lot of success, but the last 4 years he seemed to have lost a little of his skills in my opinion. He made some game time decisions that still have me scratching my head.
I'll miss his cool, but the Yankees need to get a fiery dude to motivate them.
It's gotta be hard to be motivated to win when you know you're gonna make between 10 and 20 million for playing ball ya know. I think Girardi will do a great job.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Tommy, how you feelin about the whole Joe Girardi deal? Do you think he will have an impact?

Lets see who can we blame... A-Rod historic no show in post season or the manager? I think A-Rod is the reason for failures but oh well. Torre is a good mamager but perhaps it was just time for a change for sake of changing.

Yes Kevin, I thijnk he'll have an impact. He won manager of the year in the naional League 2 years ago, he's meant to manage. I like the mnove, but it was done in a less than deserved way to joe. Joe I think was truly losing his marbles a bit during the last few years, and he never had any success as a manager until he became the yankee skipper in '96. he's good at keeping all those personalities at bay, but gametime calls are questionable as of late.
