That first one is painful to watch. The clips are form the Raising Hell DVD. I have it and it's terrible. Maiden did a live pay per view for Bruce's last show and in between songs there was a magician sawing women in half and shit. The worst part was the playing was awful. Especially Dave. He was really off that night.
The second one rocks. He's kicking ass on that one.

Dave Murray is underrated IMO...But he uses the same progressions over and over in his leads..

Davey is always so fluid, that's his trademark.

set off so well by the precision, melody and screaming tone of Adrian.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Cool, I have always been a Maiden fan but never like that song until now.
"Yes,..that's when they used to shove a red hot spike in your peehole until you screamed "yes, yes, godammit ..you fuggin' dicks..I'm a witch..I am witch..you cocksuckers"" horns666

that's a nice way to describe their relationship.

For me, Adrian always was (and still is) The Man. I really couldn't get into Dave's lead playing at all. But it was their distinctive styles that made the interplay so cool.

I was never a huge fan of Dave's playing, but I really enjoy it now. I have a greater appreciation of his earlier work now that I'm older, but most of all, I just love how he's playing today. It's still distinctly Dave, but it doesn't feel as seat-of-your-pants, about-to-derail as it did back in the day. I don't mean that in a bad way, like he has lost his hunger or sense of adventure, but more like his technique has caught up with what he was trying to say.
