Have you considered polygamy? Start out by putting roofies in your wife's drinks and telling her how much she'd like that for a couple weeks, then you should be able to transition the old gf in.

I have a few ex's that turn me into a bungling idiot on sight, not that I would do anything to jeopardise my current relationship though. I understand, it's weird seeing them and wondering what could have been etc. My best advice is try to be friendly and dignified if you run into her, then stay the hell away! Works for me.
