  • Bye to a dear friend

My best buddy passed away today. He was in pain this morning and I sat with him for 4 hours, comforting him, then we had the vet over and she put him to sleep. He fell asleep peacefully in our loving arms.

I buried him in our yard just five minutes ago...i'm in tears typing this

You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

There are two things I will always remember about the house I owned for 25 years. One was finding a pine sapling in my backyard that I could have just pulled out and chucked. But, I put it in a pot and that tree started to grow. For 5 years it was our "Littlest Christmas Tree". Then I planted it in a corner of my yard. Then, Joey, the dog I raised from a puppy died at 14. I buried him under that tree. When I sold the house, the tree was 20 feet high. Those are my fondest memories. It just seemed the natural thing to do. So, I know.
I am a true ass set to this board.

I'm sorry for your loss, GOR. What a beautiful dog he was. Just remember that you gave him love and a wonderful life, just as he did for you. That's a value beyond measure that you shared with your dear friend.
