    For pop-ups the absolute best blocker is Popup Manager. I got it free at downloads.com many moons ago and love it. It's for IE.

        IE's popup blocker works just fine for me.

          I used AVG for years... but it always slowed down my system too much. Then I got a copy of Sophos though SMU, and haven't looked back. I would pay the money to buy it from them, it's beyond the best AV I've ever used.

          Minus that I really can't support AV companies... as they're half the reason there are alot of viruses out there today.

          As far as popup blockers... use firefox with ABP. I know you said you don't want to switch browsers... but, it's a holy war :P
          Or even better. Switch to lynx. 100% probability you'll NEVER get a popup, no matter how good they are
