    Baked Stuffed Turkey Recipe

When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people, like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. Give this a try.

    BAKED STUFFED TURKEY
    15-20 lb. Turkey
    1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT)
    Salt/pepper to taste
    _____________________________

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter, salt and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping
sounds. When the turkey's ass blows the oven door across the room, it is done.

    Wow... umm... NOT!

Easy ways to tell if it's done without a thermometer... poke a knife into the deepest portion of the breast and leg, and if the juices come out clear, it's done... the leg will also pull off rather easily when it's done.

A probe thermometer @ 180 degrees is best though... don't rely on those pop-up things they put on them.

      ROTFL!:ROTF:

Or, how about "Drunken Chicken" on the grill:

Build a circular ring of coals. Heat grill to 250-300 degrees.
Clean a whole fryer chicken, and insert a bottle of beer, 1/2 full.
Rub in your favorite mix of seasonings on the skin.
Cap with a vidalia onion, at the neck.
Place upright on the grill, maintain 250 to 300 degrees.
Add fuel to the edge of the ring, as needed.
Bake for 1 hour to 1-1/2 hr, until internal temperature under the wing is 175 degrees. Brush with sauce or butter toward the end of the process, if not rubbed.

For those that are thermostatically challenged:
Place a full bottle of beer inside the bird. Do not uncap it.
When the onion pops off, it's done.
