I can't stop playing Symbolic. It's such a wicked tune. I'm going to play it again.

Overactive Imagination was the first song I learned how-to play on bass. So, so fun! (Crystal Mountain and Voice of the Soul were on the first setlist I ever played live... kind of funny, used two guitars, played voice tuned in E, transposed down a step )

Hope you guys have an awesome show... video tape it and post it for us!

Me too! I am also practicing "the philosopher". The songs kicks ass. The first fret vibrato and bends are killing my pointy.

Did you know that GW had published a 'Top 10 riffs of all times' and Pull the plug's riff was one among them??

        RIP Chuck!!

Well, we're doing Spirit Crusher. I don't know if anybody else is doing later Death or Control Denied. Everybody seems to be doing early stuff :/

Holy crap. My neck kills from all the headbanging.

I played my SLSMG (w/X2N) through my V-amp (Modern Hi Gain setting) through a JCM 800. Good lord, the tone was AWESOME. Cut through and sounded huge. Meshed well against my other guitarist's B-52 AT100 as well. Great show overall, nice turnout, the bands played great, and the crowd was into it!

Sounds cool, Chuck was a true metal God. I prefer the "Leprosy" stuff meself, but it was all class. Sadly missed.

BTW I have an X-V Amp and I find it very noisy through my Marshall AVT20. Not only that, but it seems to lose something in the signal. Sounds like crap to be honest.
You got any tips on making these things sound better?

Noise gate for one, cannot be stressed. I dunno, it's tempermental...Sounds good through some things, noisy on others. Try the settings in this thread and suit to taste, it's nice and balanced.

Death was the first band to really get me into metal, It made me really want to play guitar. It's great to see that Chuck is getting some recognition, and he is more than worthy for a tribute show. I wish I could attend this though =-(.

                            Edit:
