  • Spending on clothes

Does anyone spend money on clothes on a regular basis? My wife is always giving me a hard time telling me to throw away my 5 year old t-shirts and pants and buy new clothes cause she says that she's tired of watching me wear them. And I refuse to spend any more money on clothes when my clothes are perfectly fine.

Spending money on clothes I think is a huge waste of money. At least in the case of musical instruments you can get back most of your money; unless they are dean guitars. :ROTF: J/K I feel so annoyed when I go to Macy's or JC penny and see people walking away with bags and bags full of clothes. Especially during the thanksgiving holidays.

I don't really spend too much money on clothes. Plus I like my old, worn but extremely comfortable shirts and jeans. And if I do buy new clothes it's usually the Hanes or Fruit Of The Loom 3-pack kind that you can get at Wallyword! Never really been the kind who follows the "GQ" trend. I dress for comfort. Looking like a bum.

I dress as nice as my wallet will allow. It feels good and it's always fun to find something new that looks good and actually fits me. I hate men's fashion though, it is really boring.

              "Cock Bongos":ROTF:

I can't remember the last time I spent money on clothes...my wife buy's em' all. She'll go out shopping and usually comes home with shirt or a pair of pants or something. She has good taste too....knows what like and what I look good in....damn, I'm lucky.

If you look like a "bum" in her eyes long enough then she'll prolly get sick of it and start doing the same.

Oh....and Carhartts are awesome! I've got sweatshirts, pants, and a jacket. I love their flannel lined jeans. Awesome for those cold winter days.

Umm in this case you'll be spending the money for your wife not your clothes, that means you're in shit man J/K

Well I'd go for it if it's going to make her happy and I'd tell her exactly this

Moreover that will save you some more space to buy more guitars in the future

I wear the same shit I wore in high school.

                  Black Leather Jacket..check

                  Black Levis 505s.......check

                  Black "Metal" T-shirt..check

                  Black combat boots..check

The standard "metal" uniform never goes outta style.

I have one black suite..it's nice, and alot of dress shirts with skulls and shirt on them..

                  Yeah..I never grew up!!!

Unfournately I have to spend money on suits, and dress clothes for my Limo Job. My day job gives me a 500 a year clothing allowance at the local army surplus store, and the really helps out.

When you do have to spend any money on clothes, go to Kohl's and search the clearance racks. I just went to Jamaica and bought 10 t-shirts for 2 bucks a piece since it was summer clearance. You can get some really kick ass buys there.

I've no problems with that! But its my wife who does. :ROTF: On her defense, she is pretty tolerant about all my "heavy-metal" t-shirts and $1000 guitars. But when it comes to clothing, she goes "you can spend $1500 on a guitar, why cant you get more clothes" ??

its not about the money. I just cant get over the fact that I'm being told to throw out my tried and trusted favorite jeans and buy some new ones. I spent $50 on them in the first place for a reason. ...never to throw 'em out. :ROTF:

I don't buy clothes too often, but I do try to have some decent stuff lying around.

I'm a single guy so I gotta have the threads to stay in the game. Wear old stuff to the clubs and 90% of the time you're going home empty handed. Women can be picky about stuff like that
