  • Show me something cool that you had signed.

Another thread made me think of this. I think that getting a guitar signed is tacky as hell. It just looks ugly IMO. I usually get CD inserts, or magazines signed.

Here's a good example: my vinyl copy of C.O.C.'s first album, signed my Mike, Woodroe, and Reed on the front. Unfortunately, Pepper didn't sign his name because this album was long before he joined the band. He did sign the original singer's name on the back though, just to be a goof.

    Watcha got?

My friends in the band CARAVAN gave me a 20th Anniversary Tele for Christmas last year. It's signed by all of the band members plus guest musicians.

Johnny Cash signed my arm..had it tattooed. Doesn't get much better than that. He also signed my leather jacket (his pic is airbrushed on the back)..those are my 2 stand outs.

That's awesome! I actually ordered the first pressing directly from them after seeing a review of "0" on a scale of 1-10 in Kick Ass Monthly...then it was re-rated a "10" in the next issue...hilarious! Anyway, Woody included a handwritten note and a bunch of stickers to say thanks for the business...I'll see if I can find it tonight!

              LOL, Jeri wins!!

It certainly doesn't get much cooler than that. Maybe Jimi Hendrix or Randy Rhoads, but it HAS to be someone who is dead to be really cool. Maybe I should have someone who is really old sign my arm and get it tattooed.

The album itself doesn't get played very often. I really liked it when I was 16 years old, but I guess my tastes have grown with the band. I have all of their obscure vinyl realeases including Six Songs With Mike Singing.

the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I ran into Rob Halford at a Foundations Forum event and he autographed the back of my AZ drivers license. I still have it stashed away in one of my boxes of pre-marriage shit.
I wanted to get his autograph, but didn't have anything on me for him to sign, so I whipped out my license and said sign this. We both had a good laugh.

Coolest most bad assed thing I have is a pick played by George Lynch that he signed & gave to me.

Pretty cool to have seen the Red, White & Crue tour, met the Crue & had them sign the inside of Shout at the Devil vinyl on their respective pictures.

Yeah... I only have a poster signed by Dave Ellefson/Jimmy Degrasso. A pair of drum sticks signed by Tommy Alderage. Martyr's Feeding the Abscess tab book signed by the entire band. Terratomb's At War Within signed by all the original members, and all gigging members of the band... and, uh... a concert ticket signed by Augury / Quo Vadis. I'll see if I can get pics... the only really cool thing is the tab book though.

Steve Vai signed an Ibanez mutt that my kids painted:
