Mojo sent! My dad had a "minor" heart attack 4 months ago, but ended up having quintuple bypass surgery! The recovery was hard the last 3 months, but now he's back to his usual self.

Thanks everybody. This sure cheered me up. He's meeting with the cardiologist this morning and hopefully they can sneak in the angiogram today and the results from it are good.

Mojo coming your way. My dad had a quadruple bypass back in '99, he just had an aneurysm removed from his stomach a couple months ago. He's 64 and doing pretty well.
If your dad needs another bypass, with the way technology is and how doctors work today, he'd be well off to do it.

+1 - my father in law just had a 4 way bypass 2 weeks ago (he's 76), and while there have been complications (he was in pretty bad shape), he's expected to make a full recovery. At 67, he's young enough to undergo the procedure again without much problem.

                  Sending prayers out to you!!!

Thanks again everyone. You all rock.

He's feeling okay, but we're frustrated because the angiogram isn't getting done until Monday (apparently medical professionals don't work weekends) and they're keeping him over the weekend in Observation, instead of getting him a room with some fucking privacy. It seems this hospital doesn't have heart monitoring equipment in any of the rooms - only in ICU and Observation. It's not an environemnt that's very condusive to relaxing and resting up for a procedure. It's got like 10 beds and most of the patients are old folks, some with dementia. One old guy was yelling all day yesterday. They finally got rid of him somehow.

We're trying to stay positive and I'm going to see him each chance I get. I'm working nights all weekend, but I'll sneak in some visits. The kids are gonna make him cards. He'll like that.

Once again, thanks to all of you for your well wishes and support. It really means a lot to me.
