That song, "Do they know it's Christmas time at all." That's probably not the name of it but, I'm sure that you all know which one I'm talking about. I dread that friggin' song.

+1 The song should have been do they care it's Christmas time. People that are starving could really give a shit about the current holiday.

It's not about the starving millions knowing it's Christmas, but rather about the oppressive governments, which don't care if it's Christmas or not.

But yeah, that's another one I hate.

I've got a Joe Pass: Six-string Santa CD that I don't really care for. He uses "out" notes in a lot of them, and that simply doesn't sound good. I have never understood how playing poorly on purpose was supposed to be a sign of skill and talent, yet there are plenty of hacks out there who can't play that aren't getting signed for sounding just as bad.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

I'll tell you the best Christmas song. I really don't keep track of who sang what or the titles. But, I always liked it when they played the Pretenders' Chistmas song. After years of hearing it as my fav, I finally found out it's titled, "2000 Miles".
I am a true ass set to this board.

That song now reminds me of Kirstie Alley, and I kinda like her, so I like this song. Heh.

                  Going against the grain...
I like that one by Keith Emerson, and the one by the Kinks, there's also a couple of AC/DC clones. Damned if I can think of what they are, though.

Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer pretty much makes me want to mainline antifreeze. The singer of this crap is the one who should have been run over.

But the worst Christmas song is actually recorded by me:

O Christmas Tree meets Iron Maiden!

Did this one for the wife a few years ago as a joke.

(be sure to listen to the whole thing)

If it's not Burl Ives or Trans-Siberian Orchestra and it's Christmas music... it's a bad Christmas song.

I disagree. I like Bing Crosby, also.

I think the Gary Hoey Christmas songs are good.
