Perfect example: listed an Eden Nemesis NA650 Bass Amp on Ebay. This thing is as good as brand new. In the original box, with manual, and rack lugs, never rack mounted. Not a scratch on it, because it's been used maybe 4 hours since brand new. These things sell for $699 at Musician's Friend. Mine didn't even get my reserve price of $400!!
If I can't get $400 for this fucking thing then I'll throw it in the fucking river before I'm gonna let some cheap motherfucker have it for $350.

If I recall correctly, there's a PC-1 at the Dufferin and Steeles L&M. Red, strung with red DR strings. If I continue to recall correctly, it sounds bitchin'.
I fuckin' hate this weather; I totalled my vehicle on Monday morning thanks to the ice and the blowing snow across the fields north of Toronto.

Yes it pisses me off I can buy a new Jackson from one of the US dealers, pay the shipping, and insane brokerage fees and still come out cheaper than what any of the local dealers will sell for. That was when the dollar was in the $.85-.90 range too. I'm sure now that the dollar is up at par none of the dealers are passing that along to consumers.
Even when I bought a Mesa/Boogie this year, and Mesa has one price and one price only, no MSRP, MAP, and then the real price; the dealer didn't sell it to me at what the exchange rate implied. I still ate about $100-150 extra if I recall on that.
My theory is that there is just more competition amongst retailers in the US than Canada therefore better pricing.
I would like to buy from local dealers but if they don't want to be competitive I'll keep ordering from US dealers. The other thing I've enjoyed in dealing with Matt's Music and Fuller's this year is that they know what the hell they are talking about. If I go into any of the local dealers they don't know anything about their products.
I could rant on about the price of cars too. It makes me sick to look at the US website MSRP's and see the Candian webist adverstising the same fucking car at prices that are 35% higher.

I've been using the expedited service, till I found out I could process the paper work for customs myself. It's a pain in the ass with all the wait, travel, and paper work, but well worth it for big ticket items. Fuck they're brokerage fee.

So anyone planning on making big purchases from the States, while the $ is still holding up ~ par?
I looking at a PC-1 or a Brian Moore C-90p this boxing day. Probably gonna end up going with the PC-1 because of the sustainer. Would really like a new amp too, but don't wanna pay for the shipping lol, or have it dropped and fucked up by the men in brown.
I would have no problem with making these purchases in Canada, if only L&M or Steve's would make reasonable price adjustments.
So whats everyones wish list?
