I counted the legs, googled "30 legged bug" & came up with the House Centipede:

Discover house centipedes: appearance, habitat, life cycle, and management. Learn about these beneficial yet often misunderstood arthropods and how to control them in your home.

Actually, with the stripes, they can look kinda cool...

EDIT: Iowa State. What a great bug school...

They are fast little fuxckers! Seriously! My computer/music room is in the basement, and it's not drywalled yet. Those fuckers run across the walls and scare the living shit out of me. They are so fast, I don't even have time to smash them. Sometimes, when they are dumb enough to slow down or stop, I get them with my shoe. They are VERY fragile, and are destroyed with almost zero effort. I hate those motherfuckers.
          Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

As far as eating bugs are concerned, my favorite fear factor episode.
The Las Vegas special where they were eating those weird looking spiders for a car. The girl started shaking and freaking and didn't want to do it.
He, (the host pictured above) talked her into it. Good episode. I admit she has bigger balls than me.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

I get those things in my house every once in awhile, mostly in the basement. I'll usually get a paper towel and pick them up and squeeze them. My cats try to play with them, too. :ROTF:

You should see the flying cockroaches they have in south east Asia.About 5in long 2in wide and stink like a mofo and will bite the shit out of you if you disturb them.Don't feel safe because the slightly smaller version lives in Louisiana.
                  Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I found one of those house centipedes a few weeks ago in my cat's water bowl, dead. We dont get them very often, but them come around occasionally. They're too fast for me to catch but the cats like chasing them.

"House centipedes feed on small insects, insect larvae, and on spiders. Thus they are beneficial, though most homeowners take a different point-of-view and consider them a nuisance. Technically, the house centipede could bite, but it is considered harmless to people."

Don't kill good bugs. You dum.

yeah they are up north here too. taste like peas if you are so inclined to take a nibble on one of those legs.... or if you need peas for something and run out then you can just look around your house for a few of these. the flavor goes a long way.... gotta be quick to catch them though... my cat gets them and then we just pull them ut of her mouth and mash them up... you get the idea...

                          j/k.

I got alot of centipi in my home!

They bite too..I wake up with a bite at least once a week or so...fuckers.

They are really quick but I smoosh 'em..all the legs are still wigglin' and shit.

I have some heafty tunnel web spiders too. I caught a pretty large centipede. So, I had to find a spider and I did. I put both of them in a jar to watch them go at it. They didn't do anything so I shook the jar, making them tumble onto each other. The spider must have bit that fuck when they touched ..the centipede was dead instantly..spider wins...one to nuthin'!!!..

I know..too much time on my hands.

We have tons of those here. I always seem to find one crawling up the wall in the basement. Pretty sure they're related to centipedes.
