Edwards is about as far left as my right hand. If she had any brains, and she does bigtime, Bill is the man. The downside is, I'm not sure he would go for it.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Hillary is not a liberal. If she was, she wouldn't have voted for the war in Iraq, the Patriot Act, and on and on. Now she is trying to woo the left by saying she was misled or whatever. Hillary is about as middle of the road as her husband is/was...

Kusinich is the only liberal in the race. Well, he and Ron Paul...

You are right on with this one Fett. Bill could even serve 2 years of her term, if something were to happen to her, perfectly constitutional.

Sorry. My center is off. Anything to the left of William F. Buckley is liberal to me.

I'll be voting, but I have 0 faith in the e-lection system we have chained ourselves to. I'm quite convinced Venezuela has better, less manipulated ballots than the US.

I would pick Huckabee or Obama, please. Giuliani is tied to so much known corruption, he doesn't have a prayer. Romney - puhleeeeese!. Hillary - who know's what she thinks. Edwards - his wife is going to die in office and he'll be distracted. Ron Paul - way out there man, he wouldn't achieve 1% of his purported agenda. The rest can say they tried.

I'm finally glad people are starting to understand that if Hillary rode the fence any harder, she'd have to replace her maxi-pads with titanium panty liners.

                Hillary is a liberal.

                pro choice
                pro big govt.
                marxist beliefs
                supports the aclu
                pro gay rights
                govt run healthcare
                raise taxes on rich
                etc etc

She voted for that crap beause she thought it was what her people wanted. Also you have to follow the money in DC. Im sure alot of corporations making money off the patriot act and the war lobbied her and gave her money for re election. Shes a bilderberg member too and what they say goes!! She claims she is against the war now because she knows most of the US is. She knows exactly what to say to the sheeple. If you remember back when they 1st ran she was dressed like a southern bell with rosie red cheeks and a cute pony tail. She was playing a role. After the election she got all butch looking and hasnt changed since. She knows how to play the game but her politics are left all the way.

                  Yard Dawg,
She is not a liberal. Just look at her voting record. Don't confuse Democrat with Liberal. They are 2 different things. A true liberal would not vote just to get the backing of the people. See Kusinich. There is a true liberal. A true liberal would not support the death penalty in any instance. Hillary does support it. You actually get it right in your post. She's a fence sitter. True liberals ride no fence...

You can't get elected anymore buy being either a true liberal or conservative. We have not seen any of those type people in positions of power in a long, long time, if ever...

Thankfully so. Liberals would bleed profits from companies to the point their would not longer be an incentive to work and it would also create a population dependent on the government. Conservatives would eliminate the seperation of church and state and we would all have to abide by their moral code.

Wake up call: some part of the population will always be dependent. Right now, 700,000 disabled americans, dependent on Social Security to survive are waiting on administrative decisions to get the checks they need to live. Guess which half of the political spectrum has been cutting the budget on administrative judges and SS in general. I'm not saying I support a welfare state, but the rhetoric is not serving reality.

The spirit of what you're saying is true, but reality is so much more complicated. For instance, Giuliani forced homeless off the streets into shelters in NYC, but only a court order would make the man provide enough beds for these people. The religion shit is a smokescreen. Wake the eff up. While working for the SEC, I learned how many people get swindled by people they meet in church. If you wrap a turd in a holy shroud, dumbasses will line up to buy the crap.

Somewhere along the line, "we" decided that liberal=socialist and conservative =capitalist. The "we" being conservatives hell bent on making their terminology virtuous while making the opposition's terminology a mark of pariahs. I've NEVER met anyone with any sense call them selves a liberal. They usually identify as progressive.

I like his music, and he seems like a nice guy, but judging from the lyrics on United Abominations I'm not sure I'd want him running the country.

I was watching some of the Republican debate from November on YouTube the other day and I've come up with some conclusions:

                            Guiliani - slippery
Romney - I'll have to ask my advisors
Huckabee - I will bring God into the government
McCain - I'm a nice guy! Like me, like me!
                            Paul - honest, compassionate
The other guys - who knows? no one asks them questions

Found this quiz on USA Today's site. Not surprisingly, it matched me up with Ron Paul. Thompson was #2 and Romney was #3.
