What's wrong with the ACLU? Granted they may have a few nut jobs on their staff, but their basic premise is to defend the Bill of Rights and keep our Civil Liberties intact when the feds try and take them away.

Again... fail to see the issue... they are people just like you and I... they should be treated equally. Like I give a fuck if they want to get married or pass down assets to their partner. It's a legal status... nothing more. It's the religious right that try and make it a moral/religious issue.

The rich should be taxed equally. Why should I have to pay out 30+% of my hard earned $$$ and they only have to pay out 15%? I actually prefer a flat tax system... everyone pays the same percentage.

And for the record, I've been a registered Republican for over 15 years.
