There's something a bit dirty about her. I like that.
Fwopping, you know you want to!

It really makes my piss boil that pop and rap stars are now being considered "rock n' roll idols".

In her early days she was as decadent as any rock n' roll band, she offended plenty Christians, made lots and lots of young men masturbate and actually had some great tunes.
I'm not a fan of pop, but I can appreciate the likes of "Holiday", "True Blue" or her tits, when I saw them out in some magazine as a teenager.
So, point made. The RnR Hall fo Fame is a joke. As I said in the first sentence of the post.
Point two: She is an icon. Popular culture will eventually forget Brittany, Jessica, and the endless parade that followed.

The media didn't create her, she used the media to create herself. A perfect example of what Jim Morrison was a pioneer of...the fabricated rock star. (I've always liked the Doors, BTW).
She made me pay attention, I still can't listen to most of her music and enjoy it, but I somehow respect her nonetheless. The way she changed her entire style so many times repeated what her message was. She wasn't about to just sit back and bash out hits depending on what was "working". So, she would change her stripes again, but always still be Madonna.

Aside, I love Madonna as much as the next guy, but she lost me when she started singing about herself like a some hip hop clown. I think that was maybe 6 years ago.

BOT, I guess the R'n'R HOF must know they're a joke. She's had maybe a couple songs that loosely qualified as rock.

Who decides what "rock and roll" is? In this day and age there's no such thing. All it is is who sells most records.
How many of you actually like REAL rock n roll music, like Chuck Berry? Probably none. So why bother about Madonna getting some shitty award?
It's not a heavy metal or hard rock hall of fame - it's a "Who makes plenty cash" hall of fame. Madonna did that in spades, and still managed to have some good songs.
            And cone tits.

shows what happens when you trust the mongoloids at Rolling Stone with anything.

they ought to call it the Pop Shithouse, that'd be more fitting.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

She's also quite short, so small hands will make my doo-dickie look huge!

I do like Chuck Berry. Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, all the guys on Sun Records who did everything no one else was brave enough too. This has nothing to do with the RnR HOF, that is a joke. Madonna, no matter how you slice her, isn't rock. She's a great pop star. She has staying power, she's still not rock. I agree with what someone said earlier, it should be a music museum, change the name.

Well exactly. It's not about rock n roll. It's just about money making music of any type.

So, if I start making out with a whole bunch of chicks I can get in the rock 'n roll hall of fame?

The so-called "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame has no relevance to me until Deep Purple and Rush are in it. Until then, it's just a little monument to the ego of some irrelevant magazine writers.

Those clowns inducting Madonna is just another sign of that.
Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.

Assuming you're a hot chick yourself, and you post the vids on the internet, then maybe.

All these award type things are a load of shit. My favourite band is Jethro Tull, and even I have to laugh whenever I read about them winning a Grammy for "Best Heavy Metal" band in 1985.
