  • Help ID... a song from the 80s!

Hey guys, I hope you can help me with this one...

I recently watched some old TV series... among that was an episode of 21 Jump Street (now please, don't laugh... )

and there was this really great rock song in it, the voice of the singer and the style sounded familiar, but I can't put my finger on it...
and searching for this song on google didn't bring up anything...

so here are some lyrics I could figure out...

    [Verse]
    [...]
    they celebrate
    red wine
    white lines
won't be first time or last try (???)
    [...]
    heartbeat
    [...]

    [Chorus]
    cause you stole my world
    you stole my world
    [...]

    [Verse]
    [...]
she said it's just a face (fate???)
    [...]
    I ain't blind, no
    just refuse to see
    [...]

Hopefully one of you guys does recognize it... I'm counting on you

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

it doesn't sound like the Stones at all...

more like a Pop-version of Soundgarden... just to give you an idea...

I don't think it's a band per say,it sounds to me like a generic music just for that show 80's rock style.Maybe maybe not, I have never ever heard that song though.

I have a great ear for most 80s music but I don't know that one. Maybe you could try contacting someone from this site...something I found while trying to answer your question:
My Duncan Designed pickups are way better than Seymour Duncan regular pickups you fanboy.

Yeah...too bad the forum doesn't have a minimum IQ.

After doing some additional research I'm afraid you could be right...

How can you go wrong with a rockin' song like that; Billy Jacoby from "Just One of the Guys", and Steve Antin from "The Goonies" and "Last American Virgin" in the opening scene?

                      Who needs Grieco anyway?
