  • The Family Christmas gatherings.....

1 of 3, Christmas get togethers started today.
By the time my family has Christmas on Christmas day I'm wore out.
I will say this, the family on both sides get along very well and that makes the whole 3 day experience worth while.
How many get togethers do you guys have, and for the most part, do you enjoy yourself?

We rotate each year and this year its our turn to host.
They (ladies are...we men could care less) are talking about renting a small Hall next year.
Back to smoking my cigar and mingling among family.

We also have a big 4th of July get together every summer.
We do the large pavilion at the local resevior and have a total blast.
On both ocassions, the food is plenty and stellar tastey

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

I had my family Christmas get together last night, my Dad was hammered, so I'm getting a Charvel!

we have one for most "holidays"

    Easter, Thanksgiving,

we used to do May 2-4 until the part of my family that hosts it went insane.

we also do July 1st through 4th (Canada day and "America Day" lol) with some friends in Northern Michigan

One Christmas Eve party with cousins, uncles, aunts and in-laws will be followed by Christmas day party with just my immediate family where we will gorge ourselves on rack of lamb and turkey.

I'm pretty much bah humbug on the season, except for those two days of bonding, drinking and feasting.

Family gets along fine, at this point, no stress there.

Sounds cool! This year I'm doing something different, I'll be at home playing my guitars by myself till Jan. 2. No family, no friends, just me and my guitars Sound crazy, I don't know? But, the "Holiday's" drive me crazy for some reason.

We stay home for the holidays. Holidays to me are for immediate family and that equates to my chidren and my wife We don't have any family here and we don't do the travel thing. One of these years we've ust gonna fogo all the traditional Christmas stuff and go to Aspen or something for Christmas

Before we moved from Minneapolis to L.A., we were all over the place going to immediate families and extended. We enjoyed it for the most part. For many years it was just my wife and I out here and that was fine too. Now we have a little one so my folks come out here for Christmas. We went back to MN once, we learned we can no longer tolerate temps below 60

Merry Christmas, Happy holidays, and may the new year bring you all quality time with your families and your Jacksons/Charvels.
