I had to spend all day at the Polk County Convention Center here in Des Moines today...
So I thought I'd snap a few pics of all the stuff going on...
Here's one of the area I was in...
This is what I saw when I looked up. Various reporters doing live hits...
This was behind me, scafolding anyone? NBC and Fox News were on top of that scafolding...
Media everywhere...
Some familiar faces...
A few candidates...
Then it got busy so I didn't get many pics after that. Wanted to get one of the Fox News set but they were up so high and had "security" and all that so no go. There was nowhere near the ammount of media here in Iowa in 2004. Not even close. I saw reporters doing standups from China, France, The BBC, Japan, Italy, Russia, Brazil, Spain, just about everywhere. Feels like the world thinks this is a big election...
