I put my walking shoes on, put on my coat and take a brisk stroll into the village, cheerfully hailing everyone I pass on the way. Sometimes I'll go to the church and help the vicar tidy up in the churchyard, weeding, picking up litter, setting up for jumble sales etc. Other times I'll perambulate down to Oxfam and help sift and sort donated items to sell for the benefit of starving orphans in Africa. Thinking of the plight of others always helps dispel any lingering boredom and tiredness.........
