Turner just doesn't have the voice for most of that stuff...Never cared for it...Reminds me off Dokkens style of singing...Good for soft stuff maybe...No balls though...I mean...Rainbow in the dark?

And Vinny...I know guitaist who out play him...Super Group??? It more like a "We were those guys in those big bands who you never really knew about" LOL

Technically, they aren't the originals in their respective band with the exception of Vinnie Appice. Carlos relpaced Randy in QR, JLT replaced RJD in Rainbow, and Phil Soussan replaced Rudy Sarzo in Ozzy's band.

However, I agree with you. I always find these "supergroups" to be interesting. There's several others like it out there. In many ways it's an attempt at keeping a lot of that music fresh. A new perspective via a new voice (or instrumentalist), if you will.

I have a CD of him singing VH's "Dance The Night Away" and while it's not Dave, I have to say, it's an interesting take on the song. I have another with him singing Ozzy's "Hellraiser". I actually haven't heard Ozzy sing it, but it's a solid song.
