Back in the 80's when all that mattered was how cleanly you can play arpeggios and such, this would be a valid argument.
Here in the 21st Century, where the song as a whole is more important, and the people who care about perfect technique do not matter, you're quibbling about absolutely nothing.

I think Nextinline nailed it. Newc and a couple others too. As long as someone enjoys what the do, you don't have to like it, but learn to live with it and don't let it get to you. Don't expect everyone to play at a level of your expectations.

I think the neck pickup is a useful tool, especially in a band with two guitarists, if one uses the neck and the other uses the bridge. IT creates a nice contrast. I'm not sure if it hides poor playing, but it does certainly make you sound faster, I can see that.Comment
