I thought some of the gamers might be interested in this head tracking research going on at Carnegie Mellon, which has the potential of enabling games that do 3D "properly" using existing WII technology:

Having worked in the 3D visualization it's nice to see it almost getting to the consumer. Not quite there yet though.Fwopping, you know you want to!

I deal with technology every day at work, and my company makes some cutting edge video processing and network streaming products. As a result, I get pretty numbed to new technology.

the question is.. how much CPU and graphic power would a game actually need, to pull that shit off.
we're talking full on 3d rendering 100% of the time. and with a game like Crysis, where even the regular game sucks the living force out of the computer to run with some quality, i dont think it'd even work. but then again, it might just be a small variable, that sets a different focus point for the viewer and it wouldnt be any more demanding at all :P
