Once we're done with the gays, let's all go picket Red Lobster since eating shellfish is an abomination (LEV. 11:10). Then we'll make all women wear badges when they're on the rag so we'll know not to have any contact with them until they're "clean" again (Lev. 15:19-24). If they refuse, we'll sell them into slavery (Ex. 21:7). Speaking of slaves, I know Mexicans are OK since we can buy slaves as long as they're from a neighboring country (Lev. 25:44), but what about Canadians? I feel weird about that because they're, you know, so much like us. I also get confused about when to stone someone to death or burn them. Is it burn the blasphemer & stone the inlaws who sleep together, or vice versa? (Lev. 20:14, Lev. 24:10-16) Do we just shun people who wear fabric blends or plant 2 different crops in the same field (Lev. 19:19), or can we just take care of them along with all the guys who cut the hair around their temples (Lev. 19:27), or work on the Sabbath (Ex. 35:2)?

It's like when you tried to argue that THC has no effect on humans, that pot gets you high because of oxygen deprivation. :ROTF: Man, that was classic. For the record, it's pretty much generally accepted that homosexuality is innate, and not a question of choice. Some people are just born wired wrong. I have nothing against gays, but I will also say I don't think it is "normal". It's very possible that some kind of trauma can cause homosexuality too. I don't think it's a coincidence that many young boys who are molested end up being gay.Comment

It seems common sensical to me that one's sexual predisposition is wired in. Why do I say this? Because there are many examples in the animal kingdom of homosexual behavior. From a reproductive perspective, it's a defective trait, but nonetheless it exists.
Also, if you look at the most gay oppressive societies on the planet where being gay is punishable by death, you still have gay people and a gay underground. How could it be a lifestyle choice if being caught means death? On the contrary, you find that gays in these societies are depressed for being wired the way they are in such a society. or consider the deep south where there is open hostility towards gays and elementary school aged kids are raised to hold them in contempt (i grew up in such a town). i promise you that *choosing* to be gay in such an environment would be a foolish choice.
Finally, consider true hermaphrodites...people born with both working sexual organs. What are they? Male or female? What would be the appropriate sexual orientation for them? Would society find it repulsive if a hermaphrodite prefered a male as a sexual partner? A female? Or both? Or neither? If one cannot find it fantastical that this human being has sexual attraction to both sexes, then it's not fantastical that any person can be wired to be sexually attracted to both sexes (thus making them bi).
I often wonder what an Evangelical Christian Church would say about a hermaphrodite in their congregation and what they would say to the sexual preference of such a person...after all this person is God's creation. Me thinks they would blow a head gasket.Comment
