Depth perception is not a "learned trait" fett. You don't forget out to see, you just can't see...
No offense but that kinda shit scares the hell out of me. Quite a while ago my father was run over by a 86 year old woman with massive corrective lenses. He was in a crosswalk, she claimed she didn't see him. She only pulled over because "somehow" her front windshield shattered...
I'm not big on elderly people having drivers licenses. It's a privilege, correct? We need to take this "privildge" away from those who cannot perform the task anymore. Just because they vote shouldn't guarentee them a drivers license...
Sorry to drop all that on your post fett but it can be a scary thing. I hope you can see well enough to drive and I hope you never have a serious accident because of it...
I drive about 15 miles a day. Always in daylight. NEVER at night. I always do my thing between 8:30 and 10:30AM and then I'm off the road. BTW, I talked to my butcher lady and she said her father was a truckdriver and only had one eye. Why do you think I bought a van? To be cool? No. I like them because you can see for miles and miles.

I'm all in favor of making it WAY harder to get licenses but that's another thread entirely. I wrote a whole rant about it on another forum.
I lost my left eye to cancer when I was 2, back in the summer of '64. It doesn't keep me from driving my car or either of my motorcycles. It's never kept me from doing a damn thing, except joining the Marines and banging Cathy Cafferky back in high school (another story altogether LOL). But like you Fett, I don't like people coming up on my blind side, though it can be a handy excuse to ignore the wife when she's pissed about something!
